VICTIMS OF BANDITRY ATTACKS GIVE BIRTH TO TWENTY-FOUR (24) CHILDREN AT SHIRORO HYDROELECTRIC POWER STATION’S HOSPITAL

Thousands of the Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) from Galadiman-Kogo and over 30 communities in Shiroro Local Government Area of Niger state took shelter at the Government Day Secondary School, Shiroro recently renovated by the NSPF, and another block of classrooms recently constructed at
Government Day secondary school, Zumba as well as Power Station Staff’s Club at NSP Junior staff camp.

During this pitiable period, 19 pregnant women delivered 22 babies (boys and girls) in our hospital: Hadiza Sabo (Male), Hussaina Musa (Twins both female), Hauwa Kulu Adamu (Twins both Male), Zulai Abdulaziz (Male), Elizabeth Tanko (Male), Hadiza Sambo (Male), Halima Abdilrahim (Male),Amina Abubakar (Female), Zuwaira Mohammed (Female), (Nafisa Sabiu (Male), Sahura Ishaku (Male), Zulai Tanko (Male), Ramatu Adamu (Male), Teni Ibrahim (Female), Amina Abu (Male), Suzana Amos (Male), Hassana Bashir (Female), Ramatu Ahmadu (Female) and Lamide Dogo (Male).

Food items running into several millions of Naira, aside from rendering primary healthcare services and medication was undertaken by NSPF under the Company’s CSR policy to alleviate the sufferings of the IDPs and equally calm already tensed nerves.

In appreciation to NSPF Management for supporting them with food and medicines, one of the victims, Malam Aliyu Bala, from Galadiman-Kogo, thanked NSP on behalf of his seven brothers whose houses were burnt down, food stuffs and livestock carted away by armed bandits.

This gesture is a true manifestation of the NSP Foundation’s core values of Inclusiveness, Responsiveness, Accountability and Sustainability.
